CrossTraining
A constantly varied programme of high-intensity functional movements.
What is CrossTraining
CrossTraining is a physical conditioning programme based on constantly varied training of functional movements, performed at high intensity. It is one of the most complete sporting activities, working — in a varied, non-monotonous way — the ten great physical capacities: agility, coordination, balance, flexibility, strength, power, precision, cardiorespiratory endurance, muscular endurance and speed.
Functional movement
As a functional training method, it is based on multi-joint, compound movements — very different from the typical isolated exercises of a traditional gym. Its exercises are based on daily life: pushing, jumping, dragging, climbing, lifting and squatting, all performed at high intensity and constantly varied.
The training programme
The programme aims to develop three areas — gymnastics, olympic weightlifting and metabolic conditioning — always accompanied by good nutrition and the enjoyment of this excellent sport.
