Tai Chi Chuang & Qigong
Yang and Chen style systems for the maintenance and prevention of health, the cultivation of energy and the practice of self-defence.
Yang and Chen foundations
The Tai Chi Chuan system we teach is founded on the Yang and Chen styles as a system for maintaining and preventing illness, raising energy, improving emotional state and learning self-defence. It is designed for those who wish to improve their health and energy, and for martial arts lovers who want to practise a highly effective internal combat style — or follow a path of personal realisation.
Although many styles of Tai Chi Chuan exist, all were created from the precepts of the Chen style, the oldest. From it arose branches such as the Yang style, the most widespread in the West, and the lesser-known Sun, Wu and Hao styles. Each style has its own character, but all share three objectives: therapeutic, martial and meditative.

What you will learn in Qigong (Chi Kung)
Our Qigong classes cover a very broad content: control of the body, regulation of mental activity, breathing, self-massage and body movement. Sifu Argimiro Núñez has assimilated the physical, psychic and spiritual exercises of the ancient and modern medical, Confucian, Buddhist, Taoist and martial schools, synthesising them into an integral, multifaceted form:
- Tuna — based on the exercise of breathing.
- Jinggong — exercise in repose, centred on calming the mind.
- Zhuanggong — standing exercise, centred on stillness.
- Donggong — combined movements, centred on repose.
- Daoyin — centred on meditation.
The science of Chi
Our school recognises Chi in every existing object in our surroundings, and believes Chi Kung is a science that studies nature, the interaction between its elements and their actions — especially those that affect the human being and their environment. Chi in the human being is the source of life: if we learn how it works and how to regulate it, we are able to lead a healthy and long life.
